Turn your AI cosmetic formula
into a real lab sample.
Paste a formula from ChatGPT, Potion, or your own notes. Australian chemists review it for safety and feasibility, then we mix, label, and ship a real prototype — from 100g.
Watch your formula move through the lab.
No PDFs. No phone tag. A live status timeline, a colour-coded risk score, and notes from the chemist on the same screen as the formula.
- Plain-English risk score. Green, yellow, or red — with notes on what to change.
- One transparent quote. Itemised, final — not "from $X."
- Live timeline. See exactly where your sample is. From submission to shipped.
Niacinamide barrier serum
Paste a ChatGPT formula. See what we see.
Our parser reads the messy table ChatGPT gives you — bullets, parens, "qs to 100" and all — and turns it into something a chemist can review. No re-typing.
- Reads phase letters (A / B / C)
- Catches percentages summing > 100
- Flags missing preservatives + over-spec actives on the spot
Phase A (water phase) - Aqua ............ qs to 100 - Glycerin ........ 5.0% - Niacinamide ..... 5.0% - Pentavitin ...... 3.0% Phase B (oil phase) - Squalane ........ 4.0% - Tocopherol ...... 0.5% Phase C (cool down) - Phenoxyethanol .. 1.0% - Sodium hyaluronate 0.2%
| A | Aqua | 79.3% |
| A | Glycerin | 5.0% |
| A | Niacinamide | 5.0% |
| A | Pentavitin | 3.0% |
| B | Squalane | 4.0% |
| B | Tocopherol | 0.5% |
| C | Phenoxyethanol | 1.0% |
| C | Na hyaluronate | 0.2% |
Australian indie founders, first batch shipped.
“Every contract manufacturer in Sydney quoted us 12 weeks and 25kg minimums for our barrier serum. Lab Batch had a 250g pilot on my desk in 8 days, and the chemist’s notes flagged a preservative interaction that would have tanked stability at month three. Next Skin would not exist without that review.”
“Our first Trubiotics formula came out of a long ChatGPT session and a lot of hope. The chemist went through it strain by strain, told me which counts were over-spec for a shelf-stable stick pack, and rewrote the carrier blend. We’re three production batches in and CFU counts have held every time.”
“The risk score is the killer feature. For our Fountain lip oil we came back yellow with three specific notes — fragrance load, antioxidant pairing, fill temperature. That is so much more useful than the ‘we’ll get back to you’ I got from every other lab. Reformulated in a weekend, greenlit on the next pass.”
Three sample tiers. One honest price each.
Every sample fee includes the chemist work. No hidden setup cost, no minimums, no quote ambiguity.

Things people actually ask.
Will you sign an NDA?
Yes — mutual NDA, signed once per customer (not per project). You’ll find it in your customer portal: fill in your details, sign, and you’re covered for everything you send us going forward. Every chemist on staff is on a standing NDA too.
I used ChatGPT for my formula. Is that ok?
Yes — most of our customers do. By default, we’ll manufacture what you send and flag anything obviously broken (impossible percentages, incompatible preservatives, missing chelators) as part of intake. If you want a proper sense-check before we batch, add a formula review — see below.
Will you review my formula before making it?
Yes, as a paid add-on. We score every reviewed formula green, yellow, or red, and you see the rating: green means we’ll make it as written, yellow means we’d suggest changes first, red means we won’t make it as written and we’ll tell you why. You get notes either way — not a rejection email. Recommended for any formula you haven’t manufactured before.
Do you do stability testing?
Yes, as a paid add-on. Basic stability checks pH, viscosity, and how it looks after four weeks in a warm cabinet. Full stability testing for products going to market is available too — quoted separately. Ask when you book.
Can I order more than 50kg?
Our sample tiers cover 100g, 250g, and 500g. Once a sample is approved, production batches run from 1 kg up to 50 kg per SKU. The Formulation Library shows indicative per-kg pricing from 1 kg. Runs over 50 kg are case-by-case — get in touch with your volume and timeline and we’ll let you know if we can take it on, or refer you to a partner who can.
Do you ship outside Australia?
Not yet. Australia only while we get the model right. International is on the roadmap.
